Mark Billingham's Diary

AS OF FEB 2017.

The brand spanking new Tom Thorne novel, LOVE LIKE BLOOD will be published in the UK by Little, Brown on June 1st and in the US by Grove Atlantic on June 20th. After a few adventures out of town, Tom is back in London, working with Nicola Tanner – who first appeared in DIE OF SHAME – to track down those responsible for a series of honour killings. This is quite a dark one and I can honestly say that I have never felt so angry writing and researching a book as I did this time round. Of course, there are always one or two readers who get angry reading the books, but let’s not dwell on that.

Talking of DIE OF SHAME, that one's coming out in paperback on March 23rd, and as if that wasn't enough, Rush of Blood has just been published for the first time in the US.

The TV adaptations, which will now be a BBC series called In The Dark are due sometime later this year. Sorry, I can't be any more specific than that, but trust me, when I have specific transmission dates, you will know about it. You'll be SICK of it...

So, I'll obviously be busy shamelessly pimping all this stuff - gobbing off at any opportunity at whichever bookshop, festival or street-corner will have me. There is a list of forthcoming events on the left of this page. Look...just over there! You can also read the latest newsletter which has plenty more detail and some lovely pictures.

So, check out the forthcoming events. You do NOT want to miss a chance to come and heckle. I will sign my own books but am also happy to sign anyone else's. I will dance for beer and small change.

I'm always wasting my life on social media when I should probably be working and it is the quickest and easiest way to make contact if you want to send a message or tell me off about something. Come and say hello...
